Do you need a new fenced installed? This featured project will help you learn about our process for installing a new fence.

A homeowner in Fayetteville Arkansas had a 6-foot privacy fence that was deteriorating with age. The fence had served for many years but was in a sorry state due to rotted wood and the ravages of the seasons. It was decided that the old fence should be removed first because of the rot issues. Its replacement would follow the same footprint in the ground, but have an extra 2 feet of height, for 8 feet total.

After the previous fence was removed, we used 8 foot 4×6 treated posts, anchored by Quikrete, to properly frame the structure. Next, 2×4’s were attached horizontally to join the posts and act as a strong frame for the pickets. The 2×4’s had been treated to withstand the elements. The pickets themselves are 8 feet tall and made from cedar, a wood that is naturally durable and resistant to insects. To finish it off we added molding to the top that increases rigidity as well as visual appeal. 

The homeowner was very happy with our fence installation and will continue to enjoy the benefits of privacy, protection, and sound dampening for many years to come.
